After obliterating the prelims, Tanner went head to head with the top 5 DJ's chosen out of 20 that competed and took home the crown with judges P-Luv, Matt the Alien & Kenny Mac from Red Bull giving him the nod. Jayceeoh Hits Vancity This Week - Don't Miss This

The homie Jayceeoh will be touching down in Vancity this Thursday April 30th for his BC debut at Major Thursdays with the Faction Sound Crew at Tonic. Catch him Friday May 1st at Shine for Get Up Get Down and Saturday May 2nd with the Phresh Vibe Crew at the Wild Coyote for So Phresh Saturdays.

Jayceeoh is the full package when it comes world class dj's. He produces beats and ill remixes, can hang with the best when it comes to scratching and destroys a dance floor like no other. A master DJ who can integrate everything from hip-hop, electro, rock, pop, mash-up, funk, soul, reggae, and house, JayCeeOh is a representative of the next level of party rocking. Jay has dedicated fan bases in his dual hometowns of NYC and LA, as well as many places in between. Through over 150,000 units moved of his critically acclaimed mixtapes, Jay has established himself as a force on the international DJ scene. Faction 2009 Stylus Award Nominations - Thank YOU!

The Faction Sound Crew is very honored to be nominated again for multiple Stylus Awards this year. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us and lent us their support. Dj's Tanner and Arems have been on their grind from coast to coast playing 4 times with in the last year at the Guverment in Toronto (Canada's biggest club rated top 5 in North America), including during Caribana, in addition to various other Toronto clubs on adjacent nights and in various other Canadian cities such as Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa. Touring has also taken them to the U.S., Asia and Europe and the Factions Mixtapes are spreading around the globe with each tour and, of course, through the internet.

Hard work, along with all of your support, seems to have paid off with The Faction's nomination for Canadian Club DJ's of the Year as well as DJ Arems nomination for 2009 Vancouver DJ of the Year. After being nominated in 3 categories last year, with DJ Arems taking home the 2008 Stylus Award for Vancouver DJ, and the first nomination we recieved in 2007 for mixtape DJ of the year, we are very thankfull to be nominated once again this year. DJ's Arems and Tanner are heading to the Stylus Awards May 28th to June 2nd to represent Vancouver to the fullest.

Before the awards go down though, G-Man and Rizk will be holding their annual Stylus Awards Nomination Party on May 9th at Gossip for Big Up. DJ's confirmed for the night are Arems, J-Swing and Hedspin as well as Big Up residents the Goodfellas and Flipout. Huge shout outs go to all the other Vancouver DJs nominated for an award this year including: Radio Mixshow DJ Of The Year- J-Swing & Flipout, Vancouver DJ of The Year- Hedspin, Jial 14, J-Swing, P-Luv & Relik, Underground Hip-Hop DJ of The Year-DJ Sage, Hall Of Fame 2009- Earl The Pearl.

Look out for The Faction's B-More Version to hit the Blog soon but, for now, I hope you'll be bumpin the Rasklatt Version for years to come. Cuz let's face it, the song is a classic. The Stylus DJ Awards are back once again! From May 29th - June 1st, 2009, the most influential players in urban lifestyle will once again come together for a weekend of celebration and recognition in the Canadian club music scene. Joined by a roster of renowned recording artists, producers, record label executives and celebrity DJs, Stylus SpinFest and awards show will unite Canada’s diverse communities together to share their zeal for music and life. This annual event continues to increase public awareness of the dynamic urban music scene in Canada and sheds light on the significant contributions DJs have on pop culture.
