2nd place Dj Tanner murdered shyt, it's that simple my people. This year the 2010 Van Red Bull 3 Style was another "Event of the Year" for our city. Tanner brought the rawkus with his flawless quick mix party set taking the crowd on a journey from beginning to end.

Congrats to Flipout for 1st and Sam Demoe 3rd. Big shouts to all the DJ's who competed plus G & Rizk, Red Bull, Skratch Bastid, Curtis Santiago and big ups to Dj Echo who won 1st in Edmonton!

Faction Sound Crew definitely came correct and rocked Gossip nightclub on our debut!! Dj Tanner started things offff with an energetic set around midnight, with Dj Arems killin it with his party rockin set......back and forth through the night all the dj's were insane!! Thank you to all our extended Fam for coming out and repping with Faction gear!! Big shouts to Gman & Rizk, Flip, Swing, Friktion, Brendon, Clark for the pics and all the ladies........yessir!

This night is gonna be one you really shouldn't miss. Although The Faction's own Dj Arems has played at Big Up a couple of times for Stylus Award events, The Faction as a crew has never played at this infamous night and it's been a long time coming! As you probably know, Big Up has been voted Vancouver's best Hip Hop Night practically every year at the ClubVibe Awards. GMan and Rizk are one of Van City's biggest Club promoters with prestigious awards as well as many other accomplishments.

Faction 2009 Stylus Award Nominations - Thank YOU!

The Faction Sound Crew is very honored to be nominated again for multiple Stylus Awards this year. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us and lent us their support. Dj's Tanner and Arems have been on their grind from coast to coast playing 4 times with in the last year at the Guverment in Toronto (Canada's biggest club rated top 5 in North America), including during Caribana, in addition to various other Toronto clubs on adjacent nights and in various other Canadian cities such as Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa. Touring has also taken them to the U.S., Asia and Europe and the Factions Mixtapes are spreading around the globe with each tour and, of course, through the internet.

Hard work, along with all of your support, seems to have paid off with The Faction's nomination for Canadian Club DJ's of the Year as well as DJ Arems nomination for 2009 Vancouver DJ of the Year. After being nominated in 3 categories last year, with DJ Arems taking home the 2008 Stylus Award for Vancouver DJ, and the first nomination we recieved in 2007 for mixtape DJ of the year, we are very thankfull to be nominated once again this year. DJ's Arems and Tanner are heading to the Stylus Awards May 28th to June 2nd to represent Vancouver to the fullest.

Before the awards go down though, G-Man and Rizk will be holding their annual Stylus Awards Nomination Party on May 9th at Gossip for Big Up. DJ's confirmed for the night are Arems, J-Swing and Hedspin as well as Big Up residents the Goodfellas and Flipout. Huge shout outs go to all the other Vancouver DJs nominated for an award this year including: Radio Mixshow DJ Of The Year- J-Swing & Flipout, Vancouver DJ of The Year- Hedspin, Jial 14, J-Swing, P-Luv & Relik, Underground Hip-Hop DJ of The Year-DJ Sage, Hall Of Fame 2009- Earl The Pearl.

Much respect to all Dj's in Canada working hard to push the limits on the Canadian music scene here and all over the globe. We hope that you are able to join us May 9th at Gossip for this giant celebration!

The 2009 Red Bull 3 Style was crazy!! All 8 dj's did their thing for 15 mins each. Congrats goes out to the winner DJ P-Luv. Dj Arems did an amazing job with his set!
