DJ Tanner Retuns for RAP at Calabash w/ Rhek & Arems - Friday Dec 16 2011 PLUS REDBULL FINALS DAY 4 w/ The Faction

Two DOPE events go down this Friday December 16th starting with Day 4 of the Redbull Thee Style Finals at Club 560. 5 of the 18 World Finalists will be battling it out to make it to Saturday night for the Final Finale. The real highlight of the Day 4 is PETE ROCK vs DJ Premier with DJ Dopey and the Faction Sound Crew!!! DJ Tanner has returned from NYC especially for this event and we will be dropping some exclusive shit! I could go on and on about this but the reality is - it sold out so if you don't have a ticket - I feel sorry for you.

BUT, you can still come RAP! at Calabash (428 Carrall Street in Gastown) where we'll be heading as soon as finish our set inside 560 to play Golden Era Hip Hop and the best RAP around. Always an ill party and always PAKD!!! I'd say hit me for guest list but it's only 6 bux at the door so gather your twoonies instead and meet us there!

Faction Sound Crew X Red Bull Thre3style 2011 World Finals

Since its inception in 2007 the Red Bull Thre3style has consistently gained momentum every year until it became the juggernaut it is today. Strictly a Canadian affair until 2010; the contest went international and became the benchmark for world dj competitions. 2011 has seen this phenomenon snowball into the biggest week in world dj competition, and Vancouver dj culture's respective history. Faction Sound Crew has been a proud part of this competition the last three years and are excited to share this week with so many great talents. 2011 Vancouver Redbull 3 Style DJ Arems Set

The Vancouver Redbull 3 Style went down Wednesday October 5th at Fortune Sound Club and featured 8 djs battling to see who's the best party rocker in Vancouver. Rules were simple - play at least 3 genres of music in 15 minutes and rock the crowd. Participants were:
Friktion
Hedspin
Flipout
KutKorners
Sam Demoe
Cherchez
Ricky Mars
and myself DJ Arems.
The end results were: Hedspin 1st, Flipout 2nd, myself and Friktion tied for 3rd!
Big up to all the people that came out to support and all of the djs in the battle. It was a really dope night.
*NOTE: Those off beat scratches you hear around the mid 9 minute mark are not me - its from the next dj setting up and testing out his tings.

Dj Tanner 2nd Place in RedBull 3 Style Vancouver!

2nd place Dj Tanner murdered shyt, it's that simple my people. This year the 2010 Van Red Bull 3 Style was another "Event of the Year" for our city. Tanner brought the rawkus with his flawless quick mix party set taking the crowd on a journey from beginning to end.

Congrats to Flipout for 1st and Sam Demoe 3rd. Big shouts to all the DJ's who competed plus G & Rizk, Red Bull, Skratch Bastid, Curtis Santiago and big ups to Dj Echo who won 1st in Edmonton!

Last year DJ Arems murdered it during his 2009 RedBull 3 Style set!! This year is all about DJ Tanner!! This Thursday, 8 of the best local DJs will throw down their best set to see "Who’s The Best Party Rocker in the 604!" Each DJ gets 15 minutes with the only criteria being that they mix at least 3 genres of music.
