This night is gonna be one you really shouldn't miss. Although The Faction's own Dj Arems has played at Big Up a couple of times for Stylus Award events, The Faction as a crew has never played at this infamous night and it's been a long time coming! As you probably know, Big Up has been voted Vancouver's best Hip Hop Night practically every year at the ClubVibe Awards. GMan and Rizk are one of Van City's biggest Club promoters with prestigious awards as well as many other accomplishments.

Tanner's B-Day Madness Friday at Shine for Get Up Get Down

Our homeboy Rhek blessed us with two flyers for this event! One of them got rejected (can you figure out which one) but we had to include it cuz it's so dzaaaawpe and slightly disturbing. Dj Tanner's Barfday Bash goes down this Friday August 28th at Shine for Get Up Get Down. The entire Faction will be in attendance to help celebrate and we're hoping you'll be able to come party with us too. The year was 2005, and The Faction's Legendary Sunday night at Balthazar was steady going AAWWWFF!!!!!DJ Arems was already well known for his Dancehall sets at the time he released this mixtape murrrderation!

Part one of the Fiyah Fi Bun Dem dancehall series sold over 1000 copies and spawned into a 4 (plus many more to come) part series breaking all kinds of barriers. 13 Years of Players Club - Come Celebrate!

I've been luck enough to be part of this night for over two years now and it's been a real pleasure. Players Club Saturdays has moved around to many different venues in it's 13 year run but it's still known as the only night in Vancouver where you'll hear nothing but the dopest Hip Hop, RnB, Crunk Sowf, Dancehall and Old School with not even the slightest hint of any Top 40. For those of you that know the history of Players Club, the first real venue where it took place was Club Elite. Canvas Lounge is the club that now occupies the same space where Club Elite used to be located.

This Saturday August 15th come join us as put on an amazing party for all of you loyal followers, at an upscale venue, with all the DJ's that have been holding down Players Club for the last few years.Canvas Lounge offers a VIP area with bottle service, and two rooms. In the first room will be DJ's Physik and Smooth, playing the hottest Hip-Hop, R&B, Crunk/Dirty South, Old Skool, and Classic Slow Jams. In the second room will be myself (DJ Arems) playing Dancehall/Soca/Reggae all night long.

I actually made 4 remixes for this track but here are the best two featuring the Surprise Riddim and the Playground Riddim. Since these are a lil old I thought I'd post the first ever Rasklatt Remix I ever did as a lil bonus. The Tipsy Remix featuring Baby Cham and Beenie Man came out in 2004, long before serato, and is probably one of the best ones I've done. Grab em...lots more to come.

Fresh for the summer you can now catch The Faction's own DJ Tanner at local Granville hot spot The Caprice every Wednesday night for Summer Breeze! Expect a party every week with Tanner and guests playing the best of Electro and Hip Hop the right way so you and yours can get your party on every week.

This night has been crazy and with Ottawa's Red Bull + 4time DMC champ DJ Kid SL with Tanner on July 22nd this will quickly become your new weekly party spot for those long ass work/study weeks we all have to do.

DJ Tanner at MoeJoe's in Vernon!

Summer is in full swing and you can find The Faction all over the globe! With Dj Arems in Japan for the weekend, Tanner and I took an unforgettable road trip to the lakeside city of Vernon, BC. It was a Saturday Night and Club MoeJoe's - Vernon was in for some Faction destruction! We were lucky enough to be helping them celebrate their 1 year Anniversary as the official anniversary Party had went down on the Thursday night before we got there and featured Dj Cheapshot from the underground rap group Styles of Beyond.

The night was insane and MoeJoe's is no joke! The club features private rooms with stripper poles, 2 levels and a huge dance floor that rivals any big Vancity club. Tanner turned the party out from the moment he hit the decks and the crowd was buck-wildin all night. It was an unforgettable night and we look forward to rollin through Vernon again soon. Big shouts to Jeff & Georgie, Mikey, Dj Spincredible and all the staff MoeJoe's - Vernon.
