Last week the fellas from Just A Lil Hype Magazine sat down with Tanner and Arems to check in with The Faction and see what we've been up to. The questions were well thought out and we tried to come up with some alright answers. Jenkin Au got illy with the photo's and we ended the interview with some chillin and grillin on the side note that "Still Grillin Always Chillin" would be our next mixtape project. Dj Tanner "Hearts On Fire" Valentines Mixtape

Here is a mixtape I put together to honor Valentines day this year. While not all the tunes on this mix are love songs they share the love vibe and are sure to get you moving as well. "Hearts on Fire" begins on a Indie tip (Breakbot), (Cut Copy) then moves into some more progressive stuff (Deadmau5), (Example), and concludes with some dubstep. I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed making it.

Dj Tanner 2nd Place in RedBull 3 Style Vancouver!

2nd place Dj Tanner murdered shyt, it's that simple my people. This year the 2010 Van Red Bull 3 Style was another "Event of the Year" for our city. Tanner brought the rawkus with his flawless quick mix party set taking the crowd on a journey from beginning to end.

Congrats to Flipout for 1st and Sam Demoe 3rd. Big shouts to all the DJ's who competed plus G & Rizk, Red Bull, Skratch Bastid, Curtis Santiago and big ups to Dj Echo who won 1st in Edmonton!

DJ AREMS - FIYAH FI BUN DEM PART 4 - Best of Dancehall 2009 Mix CD

It's finally here. I started working on this mixtape in mid 2009 and would go back to it every now and then. By the end of the year i realized i'd left it a little too long so i got rid of a lot of riddims and kept only the best - making it a best of 2009 mix cd. I crammed as many tracks as I could but there are a couple riddims i didn't have time to fit in on the CD. Still, there are 80 tracks featuring 14 dubplates and 15 riddims plus many singles on this 80 minute mix.

The CD release party went down last Wednesday at Shine for Free Up Wednesdays and it was PACKD. Big Ups to all those that made it out for the party. The feedback on the CD has been great so far. Grab the one track continuous mix here for free or hit me up for your copy if you see me.
